The truth is, this delicious and sweet shaved and fruit product, is considered like a touristic attraction in Jamundi, a town near to Cali, Colombia.

Cholado is made of shaved ice with different syrups flavors especially blackberry and pieces of tropical fruits like kiwi, pineapple, mango, papaya, banana, strawberry, apples and grapes. Condensed milk is added to this colorful recipe with a wafer cookie if you want.
Then, you can enjoy it with a great companion while you listen a salsa song or see the life’s monument.

The history of the Cholado in Jamundi started with the Bonillas Family. It is said that was Doña Rosina, mother of Hector Bonilla, who started preparing and selling small ice blocks with lemon and honey. Later, Hector added a special syrup and fruits which is very similar to nowadays Cholado. But Bonilla family is not the only one who depends
